When I arrived at the Writers' Colony I had driven for 5 hours in thunder storms from Kansas City to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. I was exhausted, cold and gloomy like the weather. As I carried my first basket of stuff from car to suite my spirit began to lift, and when I opened the door the first thing I saw was this bouquet of dogwood blossoms. I swear they were saying "welcome home" and for this I am so grateful.
